We will create a group Google Doc where you can all post your Afghanistan questions.  We will spend the rest of the period researching the answers to these questions.  Don't forget to provide source information.

We will finish, review and discuss your characterization assignment analyzing the main characters of the novel.

Please read up to page 46 for class tomorrow.

Please meet in the LMC tomorrow to work on Afghanistan questions.

Tuesday, February 3

Today we will discuss different types of literature that have had an impact on each of you.  We will talk about why and how this occurs with literature.

We will also review the power of literature to take you to far away places, like Afghanistan, and immerse you in a totally different culture.  We will then review the exposition (introduction of setting and characters).

Please read to page 26, and we will complete the characterization handout for class tomorrow.
